Original, April 15, 1865 issue of the Chicago Tribune with the first new of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln reported to Lincoln's home state by telegraph from Washington, D.C. at 4 a.m.  The newspaper was set to go to press when the news came and the center and upper left hand columns were removed and replaced with the horiible news.  It was not certain at that point whether Lincoln was deceased, but "there are no hopes for his recovery."   A poignant, authentic artifact of one of our nation's greatest tragedies.  Price: $500.00
